Digitization truck for care facilities

Every industry is affected by digitalization. In social institutions, however, there is still uncertainty about what the digital reorientation could mean. The company plusnetz.de approached us as part of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs' Future Centres AI programme with the aim of involving institutions and their employees in the process of innovation and digitalization as accessibly and early as possible. With the Traderunner, they want to show that modern technologies are not an obstacle, but make work easier.
"TruDi", the digitalization truck, creates an interactive experience space that reflects the working world of the participants as closely as possible and is intended to reduce the fear of new technologies. In this Traderunner 60 technologies were installed. The following technologies were integrated: Exoskeletons, VR and AR glasses, robots, a sensor floor built into the floor, a modern care bed, health apps, assistance systems and, for example, duty scheduling software.

From one location to the next, Hof University of Applied Sciences can use the show truck to demonstrate what is possible. The Traderunner manages to convince and persuade people to change their minds in this regard, especially considering that many people don't want to work with this type of system in the first place.
Nursing staff are continuously informed about the theory - without developing a general understanding. Unfamiliar and unfamiliar systems are implemented in processes or facilities without employees developing an awareness of them. The "TruDi" makes it possible for interested parties to carry out testings, get used to them and then integrate them. Technologies are presented, explained and tried out together so that they can be ideally put into practice. And the response shows that the target group is immediately interested and can get to grips with the topic in a targeted manner. It shows that people feel comfortable, show motivation and enthusiasm and participate in innovative discussions as co-speakers.

Preferably at the beginning of the introduction of digital systems, experts can try out technologies together with interested parties and develop ideas that are helpful for day-to-day work in the facility. For example, they presented to the nursing staff at the Caritas retirement and care home how working can work better with the help of digitalization.
There are now three Showtruck TruDis on the road, taking their experiment room to various facilities to make technologies tangible and understandable.
